Client: Good Time

A soap storage system designed to make sustainable bathing an good time for everyone.

Brief:

Good Time came to Doris with the ask to design a plastic free shower experience that was uniquely Good Time.

Since this was the company’s first product, we started by defining what sustainability meant for the brand, then further defining the brand’s look + feel based on their brand TOV: Natural, Aspirational, Clever, and Thoughtful.

Defining material options

Since sustainability was a main consideration for this program, we started by identifying what materials we could use, taking into consideration the full product lifecycle from acquisition to disposal.

Magnetic bar

This concept utilized a thin piece of metal that is inserted into the back of the soap, and a magnetic bar with slight indents to receive the soap.

Soap on a rope

This concept utilized a reusable, silicone rope that the user inserts into the back of the soap, and a holder that the user installs in their shower.

Expandable ledge

This concept utilizes a ledge with expandable pieces so user can grow their collection over time.
